Press Run to see the output or a clear error message.
When the output matches the goal, earn a point and move on.
Tips and strategy
Change one thing at a time so you can see what caused a result.
Read errors from the line number first; the message often points to a missing quote or bracket.
Use print() to inspect a value while you learn.
Learn beyond the game
Explore the idea behind Python Practice Lab
Worked example
A loop such as for n in range(3): print(n) prints 0, 1, then 2. range(3) starts at zero and stops before three; the indented line runs once for each value.
Common sticking point
Python uses indentation to show which lines belong inside a loop. If the repeated line is not indented, Python cannot tell what to repeat. Check the first error line before changing several things.
Try it away from the screen
Before you press Run, trace a short program on paper. Write each variable's value after every line, then compare your prediction with the output.
Mini challenge
Write a loop that prints 2, 4 and 6 on separate lines. Change the start, stop and step values in range() until it works.
How to use this practice path
Start with print() and values, then practise variables and lists, trace a loop, and finally debug a small program. For a visual coding puzzle, try Code Jungle.
Where the idea goes next
Once loops and lists feel familiar, use them to process data, automate repeated work and build small programs. This lab runs a beginner-friendly Python subset in your browser; it does not install packages or run arbitrary scripts.
It runs a browser-based learning subset of Python, including common beginner syntax. It does not include third-party packages, files or a full Python runtime.
Do I need to install Python?
No. The practice editor runs on this page and needs no download or account.
Is my code sent to a server?
No. The interpreter runs in your browser; your code stays on your device.
