These worksheets cover changing hours and minutes into minutes, finding the time between a start and an end, and converting between metres and centimetres, kilometres and metres, kilograms and grams, and litres and millilitres. FAQ
Measurement and time worksheets: questions
How do I work out how long something lasted?
Count on from the start time to the next whole hour, then add the minutes that are left. From 3:45 to 5:20 is 15 minutes to 4:00, 60 minutes to 5:00 and 20 more, so 95 minutes.
How do I convert between units?
Going to a smaller unit (metres to centimetres) there are more of them, so multiply. Going to a bigger unit, divide. Remember that 1 m = 100 cm, 1 km = 1,000 m, 1 kg = 1,000 g and 1 L = 1,000 mL.
