What the learner works on

1. Weeks 1–2
   Rational numbers and operations

   Integers, fractions and decimals together, with the sign rules.

2. Weeks 3–4
   Simple equations

   Solving one-variable equations step by step and forming equations from word problems.

3. Weeks 5–6
   Exponents and powers

   Laws like a² × a³ = a⁵ and standard form for very large and small numbers.

4. Weeks 7–8
   Percentages and applications

   Profit and loss, discount and simple interest.

5. Weeks 9–10
   Lines, angles and triangles

   Angle sum, exterior angles, congruence of triangles and an introduction to the Pythagorean theorem.

6. Weeks 11–12
   Perimeter, area, data

   Area of parallelograms, triangles and circles, and mean, median, mode and probability.

The order and pace change to suit the learner, and the teacher adjusts after every few classes. Topics follow the learner's board or level.
