How we keep learners safe
What LearnFun does today to protect children and families, and how to reach us if something worries you.
Teachers
- Anyone can apply to teach, but nobody teaches until we have read their application and approved them.
- Applicants can share marksheets and certificates, and we can ask for more or for a demo class before approving.
- Teachers get students only when we schedule classes for them.
- We can review classes, record feedback and pause a teacher, which signs them out straight away.
Parents and families
- Anyone under 13 needs a parent or guardian to create their account.
- A parent signed in with the confirmed email on a student's record sees that student's classes, the teacher's notes and the homework.
- Families can rate each class, and only the family of that class can do so.
Contact and privacy
- There is no messaging between learners on this site.
- Teachers do not see a parent's phone number or email in their dashboard.
- We ask only for a first name or nickname, an email and an age group to make a learner account. Learner progress is never shown to other learners.
- Accounts can be deleted, which removes the saved progress. See the Privacy notice.
If something worries you
- Tell us straight away through the contact page or on WhatsApp. Please say "safety" in your message so we see it first.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or child helpline first. In India, Childline is 1098.
